Our Mission Statement Hebrews 10:32-39 A Messianic Life Model Community ™ An Ezer Knegdo/helpmeet to the Body of Messiah |
|
| Hebrews 10:32-39 (NKJV) But recall the former days in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great struggle with sufferings: partly while you were made a spectacle both by reproaches and tribulations, and partly while you became companions of those who were so treated; for you had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your goods, knowing that you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves in heaven. Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. for you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: "For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him." But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul. Set Apart Ministries, Inc. (SAM) is an off shoot of Still Waters, Inc. of Green Bay, which was a state certified mental health outpatient clinic until 2006 when Barb Klika downsized to a small home based life coaching practice. (www.christian-transitions.com/) SAM's mission statement is found in Hebrews 10:32-39. SAM is a community of believers helping those who have been through severe trauma. It incorporates counseling, discipling and Bible study along with social and worship gatherings with a focus of the development of maturity in all ways.
SAM is involved in reaching out to people around the world through the website and teleconferences to assist in developing a Torah pursuant lifestyle and to provide exhortation and support for those in leadership roles in a Messianic fellowship. A local Prison Aftercare Network organization we participate in will be of help to those Messianic prisoners we support who may choose to come here for community when they are released. By working in this context, we at SAM have seen the advantages of being in intentional community to help in the healing process. In fact, the community relationships ARE a major portion of that strengthening and healing! When even those who have been severely traumatized have developed increased joy and trust, we can see how much more all people can benefit through application of Life Model principles in our daily relationships and lives. SAM hopes to be a beacon of light to show that there is hope and healing through prayer-focused counseling, Biblical teaching and the support of our family of believers every day. |
